I have a proven track record of managing and resolving complex technical issues. I am an experienced collaborate with Engineering and Product Management in the areas of prioritization of fixes/features. I manage client communication for service interruptions/outages and provide regular updates on issues to improve the effectiveness of Support groups. I build effective relationships with Support, Engineering and Product Management groups. My strong academic record with honors, proven ability to become expert in new technologies rapidly, and deep understanding of online advertising keeps me a vital component of any design or marketing group. I have over ten years experience and knowledge of SQL, HTML/JavaScript (etc.) and experience troubleshooting clients’ technical issues. I have a heightened ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience. I have demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.

The following paragraphs contain information about my technical speaking & consulting services, brief summaries of some of the things that I speak / present.

Self Education Strategy

At the age of 6 I taught myself how program an IBM PC Jr. Since then I have not stopped my tenacious self education. Over the years I have developed a strategy that involves a curriculum designed around my goals and involves a schedule that some might say is super human, but it is not. I once read a quote that said “the busiest [persons] have all the time in the world” .  Why? I suppose it’s because they make time for themselves as it is required in order to be a business person. I know first hand the value of continued education and have several strategies for adapting to transition and resolving gaps in learning through rigorous self-examination and training.

Motivational Learning

The greater part of my motivational speaking experience involves influencing others to learn and find new and interesting ways to learn about the subject of their choosing. Commonly, I recommend all forms of academic pursuit and in addition I find ways to incorporate emerging technologies into educational tools.

Creative Writing & Speaking

My elementary education reminds me of my early love for Physics and Creative Writing. Over the years, I have created and assembled many creative writing lessons. Creative Writing is a great way to master the power of an assembly speech. It is often a challenge to give a speech that keeps the audience focused. A little creative writing doesn’t hurt! I can show you some ways to improve creative writing skills and also some lessons to add to your classroom studies.

Corporate Policy Online & Offline

As a provider of IT Technology Services, freelancing or on contract, I have found it necessary to stay up-to-date with current corporate policies and practices everywhere from the mom and pop store down the street to your Fortune 500 companies. Corporate Policy should be of interest to you in any business endeavor especially when  you take your business online. Knowledge of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is a start but you will want to stay fresh with the biggest court cases to do with policy infractions online. I make it a daily ritual to read the news about policy and encourage my audience to also.

HTML, CSS, LAMP & Other Programming

I am experienced teaching classes of twenty five or more students in a presentation setting mixed with PowerPoint and live projected computer desktop demonstrations in the areas of Hypertext Markup Languages, Cascading Style Sheets, MySQL database maintenance, PHP, Perl, and other scripting and programming languages available to harness on the web.

Building Online Communities

Since the dawn of the new millennium I have been increasingly active with connecting individuals on the Internet through the World Wide Web. The web has a lot to offer and I have observed over time how social networking has motivated the legal and creative sides of the Internet, all the while pushing the performance envelope of servers everywhere. My experience in building online communities starts from managing simple mailing lists to providing tools and services for communication between.

Creativity Engineering

I delight myself in coining the term ‘Creativity Engineer’ as it so accurately describes my dream job. In fact, everyday I live my dream and apply myself. What is creativity engineering? I describe it as engineering the tools used to be creative or promote creation. Creativity can guide you in the direction you want to go but you have to ask yourself, who built the vehicle that’s taking you there? Engineers do, but to be a creativity engineer you need to focus on what it is, the skill set that makes you be creative and keep that creativity going.

B.I.O.M.E. technique

I invented the B.I.O.M.E. technique after working for several years on making a better, faster work ethic for myself in any business environment. BIOME stands for: B = Basic Business or the skills you need to perform well in business, I = Information or the security thereof and ways to trust but verify, O = Organization or the tactics and strategy of keeping your business organized and on the cutting edge of the office, M = management or the subset of skills that everyone must have to be good worker and a great manager, and E = Engineering or the phase of development that follows everything back to the basics.  This technique is a cycle and in my talks and presentations I explain how it works and how you can use and improve upon it.

Establish & Maintain Web Presence

Most of what we learn from the Internet involves maintaining a web presence of some form. It really comes down to what separates you from the anonymous. Even people with loud profiles on exciting social networks find it hard to get noticed. Helps to have a product but in a minority of cases there is no problem. If you have a product or service you want to offer you should have a web presence. It’s as simple as that. I can guide you through establishing your web presence and give you the confidence to maintain your web presence and join elite webmasters all over the world in making yourself known!

Business & Non-profit in Second Life®

With over two years experience as a builder and script programmer in Second Life, I am competent and confident that I can show you how to make the most of your Second Life. I function as a liaison and tutor offering my services for free to disabled persons, veterans and active service members. My interests in Second Life, a virtual world with a virtual economy based on real money, involve raising awareness about Universal Accessibility and supporting nonprofit organizations like the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund inSL™. Second Life has a lot to offer to real world businesses and non-profit organizations everywhere.
