1995
by Gavin D McCall on Aug.13, 2009, under History
1995 was truly a funked year. And when I say ‘funked’ I’m meaning another word that is more appropriately placed. When I think back to that year, I am awed by the fact that I and so many others have survived for the last 14 years. We thought that life was challenging and looking up for us during the years of Presidency of Bill Clinton. Then I turn 18 and I spent the first eight years of my adult life under the Presidency of George W. Bush. So much has happened since 1995. Since 1995 I have graduated with California State Proficiency, acquired an internship at Autodesk, hired and laid off by SEGA, combed through various jobs like Apprentice Electrician, House Painter, Guitar Builder, Retail Floor Salesman, Graphic Designer, and Coffee Barista. I even worked as a recording artist and recorded a theme song for a casino with my friends. What else has happened since 1995? In 2003, Forever’s End, the All American True Heavy Metal Band, acquired me on their roster as Lead Guitarist and Backing Vocalist. I never thought I’d even be in a band, let alone the definitive genre of music of my generation. At least, that’s how I feel about it. So much has occurred in the last 14 years it’s easy to leave out a lot of what happened. It goes with the territory that some stories are forgotten or dismissed. There is one story, one memory, that shall not be forgotten. I’m going to share it with you. (continue reading…)
Forever’s End, Dust to Dust, Dusk to Dawn
by Gavin D McCall on Jul.02, 2009, under Forever's End
I am vehement about the subject of my band, Forever’s End. I am eternally honored to work with all of the folks that have come and gone over the years since the conception of Forever’s End in 1986. My bandmate, Founder of Forever’s End, Singer, Bass Player, and Dad, Markus “METAL” Daimeion I, created Forever’s End from a dream that was a vision of the future for him. The dream depicted him experiencing the music of Forever’s End. The experience in the dream was so surreal that he awoke and feverishly drew the logo of the band that he saw in the dream. That picture is on a piece of paper (not depicted here) and is signed and dated. (continue reading…)
Forever’s End at Forestville Club
by Gavin D McCall on May.30, 2009, under Forever's End, The Elf
There was a great turn out at the show last night in Forestville, California. Thanks to Trial by Combat for supporting us with there powerful songs. Not to mention, they had all the ladies moshing early in the night!
This was our first show in about 11-12 months. For almost a year we’ve been working on new songs and perfecting new gear. It’s really been that long! Too long for us!
For this particular show, we brought out everything we have but didn’t have to use all of it. In fact, out of respect for the neighbors, we didn’t play as loud as we could have. We have Sean Michael Roads to thank for that. He was there making critical decisions while we were just trying to keep ourselves together. From the fan response, I am going to say they liked us!
Unfortunately, we didn’t have many photographers there. We did have a camera going. We’ll be posting those videos to YouTube as soon as we get them in. I haven’t received all of the media but a couple pictures from my friend Steve that I feature here in this post. Sad that he didn’t have any good pictures of Sean Adair (Lead Guitars / Backing Vocals) and Jamn Medeiros (Hitter) I will post more pictures as soon as I get them.
We played a really good set. We are currently working on an album and we did a whole set of that album. After that we continued to play requests from the audience.
I look forward to performing again in Rohnert Park at Quincy’s. We’re looking at booking a show with Trial by Combat there due to the demand.
For all of you bellyachers who didn’t make it…this was your chance to get photos with the band and signatures. We’re not so big headed and we’re not your typical rock stars. We’re metalheads and we have an affinity with our fans. Just come up to us and ask us and we’ll give you a big hug. Well maybe not everyone…Helps if you are female and have a pretty smile! I’m not speaking for all the guys of course (respectively). I’m mostly speaking for myself. I need a hug ladies!
If you want us to come and play in your area you should consider booking Forever’s End. Follow the instructions on our website FOREVERSEND.COM for printing a presspack.
